Of the 109 acres that has been or will be rained by Western Fuels, i
estimate that at least 90% ofit was historically irrigated for crop production
I'he irrigation system design for the Morgan property requires four, quarter mile long sideroll
sprinklers, and two pipeline manifolds to feed the sprinklers (set; the enclosed plan map). The
irrigation systet i will utilize 60 shares of Ccrioiado Cooperative (CC) Ditch water, which equates
to approximately 1 64 cubic feet per second (cis) during the month ot'July While in operation,
only two sideroll sprinklers will be running, at the same time, one on each pipeline manifold,
iunless more irrigation water is supplied to the system The sprinkler set, or run time, will be 12
hours between moves, and the sprinklers will be moved once every 24 hours with all four
sprinklers having, one 12 hour set in alternating fashion. Each sprinkler is designed to utilize
0 82 cfs, while operating at near 35 pounds per square inch (psi) of water pressure Please
review the enclosed Sideroll Sprinkler Design Worksheet for more details.
This proposed irrigation design provides the most etlicient and flexible system for the conditions
presented location, soil type, crop(s) grown, available irrigation hater, field geometry, etc.
With proper management. this irrigation system will adequately irrigate 97 5 acres of alfalfa with
60 shares of CC Ditch water
There is left a trapezoidal piece of land in the southeast comer ofthe Morgan property,
approximately 1 i.5 acres, that is not addressed by this irrigation system design. To irritate this
area sufficiently. one would have to ccrosider using other irrigation systems such as big -gun
sprinklers, hand set sprinklers, or gated pipe In addition, more irrigation water would have to be
supplied to the system to properly irrigationn this acrealr,
The NOIN i R.e ^Oqe come ldw;q Sertvrcr.
