PROPOSED PUBLIC NOTICE
APPLICATION FOR MINING PERMIT
Western Fuels-Colorado, LLC, P.O. Box 33424, Denver, Colorado 80233, has submitted to Colorado
Division of Reclamation, Mining and Safety a complete application for a new permit to mine coal in New
Horizon North Mine being planned to be developed and mined near Nucla, Montrose County, Colorado.
The mining area will be situated west of 2650 Rd, east of 2600 Rd, north of AA Rd and south of Z Rd.
The permit area contains tracts of land located in Section 25 and Section 36, Township 47 North, Range
16 West of the New Mexico Principal Meridian, Montrose County, Colorado being more particularly
described as follows:
The West % of Section 25, T. 47 N. R. 16 W. of the New Mexico Principal Meridian, containing 317.23
acres more or less, together with a tract of land 50 feet in width, 25 feet on each side of the following
described centerline:
Beginning at a point on the southerly boundary of said Section 25 from which the South ''/< Corner of said
Section 25 lies South 87°30'29" East 523.20 feet; thence the following courses:
