<br />ameO <br />VLF EARTHWORKS FIELD MONITORING SUMMARY (WEEKLY REPORT) <br />Project Title: CC&V/ Phase 5 <br />Owner: Cripple Creek & Victor Gold Mining Co <br />Location: Cripple Creek & Victor Gold Mine <br />Work Element: Phase 5 CQA/ VLF <br />Date: September 4, 2010 <br />Project No.: 84201125EO <br />Contractor: Ames Construction Co., Inc. <br />Shift: Day/Night <br />Reporting Period: 8/29/10 through 9/4/10 <br />Days S M T W T F S <br />Work Shifts D D D D D D - <br /> <br />D = Day Shift N = Night Shift <br />Ambient Temperature Range (F): Low: 39°F to 57°F (+/-) High: 67°F to 76°F (+/-) <br />AMEC CQA: Personnel On-site through the Reporting Period (See Attachment A). <br />AMES: Work activities were suspended at approximately 3:00pm on 9/3/2010 and will resume at the <br />beginning of shift Tuesday, 9/7/2010. This was performed in observance of the Labor Day holiday. <br />CONSTRUCTION ACTIVITIES and PROGRESS: <br />1) EARTHWORKS <br />A) Subgrade Preparation <br />1) VLF <br />Subgrade was inspected approved for soil liner fill placement by an AMEC field representative <br />in the area shown on Figure 1. <br />B) Slope Contouring <br />1) VLF <br />Slope contouring performed between stations K0+00 (+/-) and K2+00 (+/-), approximately 0 to <br />150 feet left and right of centerline. Slope contouring was performed using two CAT D-6 LGP <br />dozers. A CAT smooth drum roller was used to compact finished slopes. <br />C) Cut to Fill <br />1) VLF <br />Structural fill material was placed between stations 133+00 (+/-) and K10+00 (+/-), <br />approximately 20 to 200 feet left of centerline. A CAT D-8 dozer was used to push material <br />from the cut to the fill area. Fill was placed in 24" lifts. Each lift was moisture conditioned <br />using a tandem-axel water truck (when necessary) and compacted using a 10-ton vibratory <br />VLF Weekly Report WE 09.04.10.D
