Compliance With Mine Plan N - Support Facilities Not On-site <br />N - Other N - Special Categories Of Mining <br />R - Processing Waste N - Topsoil <br />COMMENTS <br />This was a partial inspection conducted by Janet Binns of CDRMS. No representatives of Energy Fuels were at <br />the mine site during the inspection. A consultant for the operator, Mr. Kent Crofts, of IME, was present sampling <br />reclaimed area vegetation for interim sampling (year 7). Surface landowners representing the Vento property, <br />Linda and Bob Saunders, met the inspector on site. Ms. Saunders had some concern regarding the presence of <br />Rabbitbrush (Chysothamnus naseosus) on the reclaimed pond 3 area, and expressed some concern regarding the <br />reference areas (test plots). Ms.. Saunders also questioned the condition of the light use road to the Refuse area. <br />These concerns are addressed further in this report. <br />HYDROLOGIC BALANCE - Rule 4.05 ? ?Drainage Control 4.05.1, 4.05.2, 4.05.3; Siltation Structures 4.05.5, <br />4.05.6; Discharge Structures 4.05.7, 4.05.10; Diversions 4.05.4; Effluent Limits 4.05.2; Ground Water <br />Monitoring 4.05.13; Surface Water Monitoring 4.05.13; Drainage - Acid and Toxic Materials 4.05.8; <br />Impoundments 4.05.6, 4.05.9; Stream Buffer Zones 4.05.18: <br />The mine site was dry. Ponds 5 and 4 remain dry. Ditches throughout the reclaimed mine area are <br />functional and maintain any runoff flows to the appropriate pond. <br />PROCESSING WASTE/COAL MINE WASTE PILES - Rule 4.10 and 4.110 ?Drainage Control; Surface <br />Stabilization; Placement: <br />The coal refuse area has been capped and reclaimed. Vegetation is well established and diverse on the <br />refuse pile. Old rills were encountered but these are well vegetated and no longer appear active. Transplanted <br />shrubs on the refuse pile remain viable. Numerous 4-wing Saltbush have established on the West side of the pile. <br />No problems were identified on the refuse pile. <br />ROADS - Rule 4.03 ? ? Construction 4.03.1(3)/4.03.2(3) ? ?
