There was no representative from CAM Mining, LLC
(CAM) present during the inspection. 1 spoke with April Schultz Administrative Assistant for CAM at the mine
office prior to my inspection. Weather conditions were sunny and warn. Ground conditions were dry.
The gate at the access road to the mine site off of Highway 139 was locked but the lock apparently has been
changed to a diff combination lock by the surface owner of the land at this access point. I returned to the
mine office to see if CAM knew the new combination to the looked gate. We attempted to contact the surface
3
owner but were unsuccessful. I was able to access only a portion of the site along the reduced width haul/access
road by foot.
CAM must ensure that the Division has access to the site for inspection purposes. Please make the necessary
arrangements to ensure that future access to the site is not impeded.
HYDROLOGIC BALANCE -- Rule 4.05
Clringe Control 4.05.1, 4.05.2, 4.05.3; Siltation Structures 4.05.5, 4.05.6; Discharge Structures 4.05.7,
4.0.1;Diversions 4.05.4; Effluent Limits 4.05.2; Ground water Monitoring 4.05.13; Surface water Monitoring
4.05.13; Drainage inage — Acid and Toxic Materials 4.05.8; Impoundments 4.05.6, 4.05.9; Stream Buffer Zones 4.05.1
East Salt Creek was dry at the access road crossing to Munger Can non.
