The required fee of $257.00 for the renewal of this SWSP has been submitted (receipt
no. 3646954). The original supply plan was approved on September 11, 2007 and it was most
recently renewed on August 10, 2009.
Plan Operations
This plan seeks to replace depletions resulting from the mining at the Bokelman/Walters
Pit (WDID 0403012).The depletions that result from the mining operation include evaporation
and water lost in the mined product. The proposed replacement source is a contract with the
City of Loveland for fully consumable water. The Bokelman/Walter Pit is located in Section 24,
Township 5 North, Range 68 West of the 6th P.M. just southwest of the Big Thompson River
and will be mined in two phases. Phase I consists of four cells on the western portion of the
property. Phase II consists of three cells to be located on the eastern portion of the property.
Cell 1 within Phase I was proposed to be completed by 2009, however due to economic
conditions Loveland Ready Mixed ("LRM°) will continue to mine this cell for approximately the
next two years. Cell 1 will continue to be dewatered and this water will be pumped to a settling
pond where it will be allowed to recharge the aquifer or be pumped back to the Big Thompson
River.
A water court application for a permanent augmentation plan for the Bokelman/Walter
Pit was filed on July 31, 2009 under case no. 2009CW105. The approval of this plan does not
imply a position by our office on any litigation associated with case no. 2009CW105 or any
other case.

Office of the State Engineer
1313 Sherman Street, Suite 818 • Denver, CO 80203 • Phone: 303-866-3581 • Fax: 303-866-3589
www.waterstate.co.us
