PERMIT #: M-1982-036 <br />INSPECTOR'S INITIALS: DMC <br />INSPECTION DATE: September 13, 2010 <br />OBSERVATIONS <br />This inspection was conducted as part of the Colorado Division of Reclamation, Mining and Safety (DRMS) normal <br />monitoring program. Photographs are included at the end of this report to illustrate the conditions observed during this <br />inspection. <br />The Mesa Gravel Pit is located approximately four miles southeast of Hayden and accessed from CR 51 B. The original pit <br />access is from the north side of the pit and still exists, but another main access has been added on the south side of the <br />permit area. This access is located at approximately 40.468367°, -107.188913°. <br />Much of the west portion of the permit area has been reclaimed, with vegetation well established and being harvested. The <br />direction of mining is currently in a westerly direction. The unreclaimed/disturbed area was approximately 15 acres or less <br />during the time of this inspection.
