MANAGEMENT <br />-WeC <br />vWVED <br />SEP 17 2010 <br />Bowie Resources, LLC, "Bowie" intends to seal the Hubbard Creek Ventilation shaft as <br />follows: <br />1. Place rock currently stored at the mouth of Freeman Gulch into the bottom of the <br />shaft to support the fill. <br />2. Fill the 10.5 diameter steel lined shaft with approximately 1,600 cubic yards of <br />material obtained from the coal mine waste pile. Cuttings from the shaft were <br />placed in the coal mine waste pile so it seems appropriate to fill the shaft with <br />coal mine waste. <br />3. Place a concrete cap over the shaft as shown on Map 29 Shaft Seals. <br />Please let Bowie know if the DRMS sees any problem with the shaft sealing plan.
