Binns
Environmental Protection Specialist
1313 Sherman St, Rm. 215
Denver, CO 80203
Dear Ms. Binns,
OXOD
CEP 101
, 1-1,1608 ?'?"? n?n9 end ?alr-h`1
Due to previous plans, I will not be able to attend the meeting on September 15d'. I feel the lack of
notice was quite short. Had I have had more notice I could have planned to attend. I don't believe a
letter mailed on September 3`d for a meeting on September 15th is very much notice.
I oppose any bond release inspection done in the fall due to the fact we have had numerous freezes
already. It is impossible to tell if a dead weed is from the frost or spray.
I am also concerned about the thistle and hounds tongue population, to me it looks worse than it was
last year.
I believe a spring inspection in May or June would reveal more objective results than a fall inspection.
I believe that Chevron should consult the land owners when spraying is being done so that we could
voice our concerns about areas of high weed population. I believe their only concern is to spray
enough weeds to convince the DRMS to release the bond and leave the weed problem to us the land
owners.
By working together I believe a bond release would come quicker and be beneficial to the landowners.
We are never given notice of spraying, and it seems we don't own the property and have no say when
there is activity on the land.
During the inspection, I ask you to consider the number of weeds you encounter and consider a spring
inspection before a release.
Thank you.
Sincerely,
Tom Maneotis
