DESERADO MINE
BLUE MOUNTAIN ENERGY
3607 County Rd. 65
Rangely, CO 81648
(970)6754300
fax (970)675-4399
September 7, 2010
Mr. Kent Gorham
Colorado Division of Reclamation, Mining and Safety
1313 Sherman Street, Room 215
Denver, CO 80203
RE: Notice of Intent to Explore - X-2008-230-01, and
Notice of Intent to Explore - X-2008-230-02
Dear Kent:

SEP 09 2010
Division of Reclamation,
and Sa*y
Blue Mountain Energy, Inc. requests actions on two NOI's as outlined below.
NOI X-2008-230-01
Due to past budget restraints BME was unable to drill the holes intended for this NOI. The
expiration date has since past.
We request this NOI be reinstated with a new expiration date of June 1, 2011. Our intention is to
begin a new drilling program starting in October 2010 with a completion date no later than June
1, 2011.
There has been a slight adjustment in the locations of the intended holes. This adjustment should
have minimal effect on the extent of disturbance and total footage drilled. A map showing the
new locations in relation to the original locations is attached.
NOI X-2008-230-02
On September 29, 2008 the Division provided a favorable determination pending two items: 1)
submission of a performance bond calculated at $46,476.00, and 2) proof of approval by the
Bureau of Land Management (Coal Exploration License COC-72922). These two pending items
are enclosed.
Due to the later than expected BLM approval and resulting budgetary restraints BME was not
able to undertake this exploration program until this time. We intend to initiate drilling starting
on or about October 4, 2010 and potentially continuing until June 1, 2011, concurrent with the
expiration of the BLM Coal Exploration License COC-72922.
