Pineda <br /> Director <br />RE: Twentyymile Coal Company, Permit C-82-056 <br />July 2010 Discharge Monitoring Report Review (Permit CO-0027154) <br />July 2010 Discharge Monitoring Report Review (Permit COG-073311) <br />Dear Mr. Watterson, <br />The Colorado Division of Reclamation, Mining, and Safety (CDRMS) has reviewed and found the <br />above referenced reports to be in compliance with Rule 4.05.13(2). The July 2010 Discharge <br />Monitoring Reports for the above referenced CDPS Permits were received by the Division on 01 <br />September 2010; the reports cover the time period from 01 July 2010 through 31 July 2010, with the <br />exception of 005A (Pond D) which is from 01 April 2010 to 30 April 2010. <br />Permit CO-0027154 - Outfalls 005A/MON5/005W (Pond D), 003A (Pond B), and 008A (Pond G) <br />discharged during May 2010. No exceedances of any compliance criteria were noted during the <br />month. Outfall 004A, 002A, 006A, and 007A/007W/MON7 did not discharge during the month noted. <br />Permit COG-073311 - Outfall 001A (Fish Creek Construction Crossing) discharged during the month <br />of July 2010. `One exceedance was noted relating to TSS, monthly maximum. <br />It is noted that based on a Memorandum of Understanding between the Division of Reclamation, <br />Mining and Safety and the Water Quality Control Division (WQCD), the WQCD will be responsible <br />for enforcing CDPS permit conditions including exceedances of TSS. <br />Please note that the DMR for outfall 005A is for the time period of 01 April 2010 through 30 April <br />2010. Please provide information as to the correct date of the sampling conducted for the month of <br />July 2010 for outfall 005A. <br />If you have any questions feel free to contact me.
