Bromley Lakes Pit 2010 Annual Report
Prepared for:
Ready Mixed Concrete Company
Prepared by:
Michael J. Hart, Hart Environmental
Permittee Name: Ready Mixed Concrete Company (RMCC)
Permit Number: M-1987-049
Operation Name: Bromley Lakes Pit
Anniversary Date: September 29, 2010
Annual Fee Due: $791.00
County: Adams
RMCC's Bromley Lakes Pit was not actively mined during the 2010 reporting
period of the Annual Report. Mining activity during the reporting period occurred in the
northeast portion (Phases 5 and 6A) of the Ergers Pond Pit (DRM&S Permit #M-1998-
036) which is contiguous to the northerly permit boundary of the Bromley Lakes Pit.
Sand and gravel, excavated from Ergers Pond, was transported by conveyor across the
Bromley Lakes Pit to the sand and gravel processing plant located thereon. Wash fines
from the processing plant were discharged into the Bromley Lakes settling pond located
in Cell 2.
Weed control at Bromley Lakes, during the period of this annual report, included
mowing and spraying.
Mining in the Bromley Lakes Pit is anticipated to resume in 2011.
Because there will be no mining or reclamation activities at Bromley Lakes during
the 2009-2010 reporting period ending September 29, 2010, no current map or aerial
photography was prepared for the 2010 Annual Report.
