We respectfully request the following technical revision to reflect current operating
conditions.
Since our permit approval in 1998, we have made some changes to our operation based on market
demands in the area, namely the addition of an asphalt plant and concrete batch plant currently
operated be Everist Materials. We have located the asphalt and batch plants in the southeast
corner of the affected area away from the wash plant and excavation activities but within the
permitted area (see enclosed map). Given that they are both portable plants, they can be moved
within the permit area as needed to allow for future excavation and reclamation activities. The
concrete batch plant requires one ready mix truck based on-site, the asphalt operation requires
one haul truck based on-site and both operations require the use of a front end loader. The
operator has filed all of the necessary state permits to operate this equipment.
I would like this letter to serve as a technical revision request to add the above listed equipment
and activities to our existing 112 permit. We are filing this request in conjunction with an
amendment to our Grand County Special Use Pen-nit. Please advise if you have any further
questions or require additional information.
Sincerely,
Sleve lon-ow
Morrow & Sons
EnClOsure
