August 17, 2010 C-1981-044/Williams Fork Mines JRSZ??? <br />- The reclaimed refuse pile on the east side of the mine remains stable. There were some grasses growing among <br />the annual weeds. There were no erosional problems noted at the time of the inspection. <br />REVEGETATION - Rule 4.15 Vegetative Cover; Timing: <br />- There were two patches of Russian Knapweed noted on the northeast edge of the mine permit area (near the <br />fence that begins the Trapper Mine's permit area) behind the refuse pile and solid waste disposal area. These areas <br />were in/near the perimeter ditch for the refuse pile. The attached picture and aerial photo shows these knapweed <br />areas. <br />- There was also a patch of Russian Knapweed in the perimeter ditch around the Williams Fork Strip Pit on the <br />south edge of the area. The attached picture and aerial photo shows this area. <br />- BTUEC will need to spray these knapweed areas this fall and continue to spray and monitor the areas to <br />keep them from spreading. <br />SIGNS AND MARKERS - Rule 4.02: <br />- BTUEC needs to update all of their mine ID signs to reflect the name change from Eagle Mines to Williams Fork <br />Mines.
