Types of Materials <br />The types of inert materials received are listed below and only uncontaminated materials are <br />acceptable. A more complete description of the inert materials is listed below. <br />• earth <br />• dirt <br />• soil <br />• sand <br />• gravel <br />• rock <br />• concrete (hardened for at least 60 days) and concrete pieces <br />• asphalt paving fragments <br />• top soil <br />• masonry <br />• day-lighting mud <br />Prohibited Materials <br />Contaminated soils are NOT ACCEPTABLE at the Broda site. Contaminated soils include <br />petroleum hydrocarbon contaminated materials, demolition debris, excessive vegetation, and other <br />non-inert materials. Additionally soils cannot be contaminated with asbestos, paint chips, or other <br />potentially hazardous materials. <br />Daylight Mud Placement <br />Placement of daylighting mud is done in a pit specifically constructed for this purpose. The pit is <br />located above the water table in areas of dry land. Mud is separate and the water will be pumped <br />off and used for dust suppression on site, or allowed to evaporate.
