Box 817 <br />Nucla, Colorado 81424 <br />Telephone 970/864-2165 <br />Fax 970/864-2168 RE: Reclamation Bond Release Notification <br />To Whom it May Concern: <br />• <br />Western Fuels Colorado, is applying for a Phase 2 and 3 bond release for part of its reclaimed <br />New Horizon #2 Mine located 2 miles northwest of Nucla, Colorado. As required by Colorado <br />law, whenever any part of any coal mine bond is to be released, all interested parties must be <br />notified. This letter is to notify you that Western Fuels, Colorado is requesting partial release of <br />the current bond amount for successful Phase 2 and 3 reclamation of the New Horizon #2 Mine. <br />The permit number is C-81-008, which was initially approved in 1981. All mine areas were <br />backfilled, graded, topsoiled and reseeded according to the approved reclamation plan. The <br />requested bond reduction amount is to be calculated by the Division of Reclamation, Mining, & <br />Safety. <br />The general description of the property to be released is as follows: <br />T47N RI 5W -SECTION 31 - SW1/4 <br />T46N RI 5W - SECTION 6 - N1/2 <br />The parcel of land in question is located on the U.S.G.S.
