Box 467
Golden, CO 80402
Re: Keenesburg Mine, C-1981-028, SL4 Final Decision
Dear Mr. MacDonald:
COLORADO
D I V I S 10 N O F
RECLAMATION
MINING
- l?-
SAFETY
While reviewing Bond Release values in the Division's database, the Division became aware that the
proposed approval form for the Keenesburg Strip Mine's Bond Release No. 4 (SL4) on October 19, 2009,
did not reflect removal of the 165.29 acres form the disturbed and affected acreage totals. Even though
the Phase III released acres remain within the permit area boundary, the proposed decision form does not
show that they no longer are counted as disturbed or affected acreage. The Division is reissuing a revised
decision form for Coors Energy Company's files. This revised form does not affect the public notice or
Findings document. The only change is that the Phase III bond released acreage will no longer be
reflected in the mine's disturbed or affected area totals. Please pardon any confusion this may have
caused.
Please call me should you have any questions.
Sincerely,
Janet A.
