C492-te)(0 -0 13
RI-la 8
Dudash, Joe
From: Dudash, Joe
Sent: Tuesday, August 24, 2010 7:38 AM
To: Desty Dyer (desty_dyer@blm.gov)
Cc: jestover@bresnan.net; bbear@bowieresources.com
Subject: Bowie No. 2 TR-68
Hello, Desty. As you know, Bowie has submitted Technical Revision No. 68 (Incidental Permit Boundary Revision) for the
Bowie No. 2 Mine. Bowie will run out of places to mine before Permit Revision No. 12 (West Mine Expansion) can be
approved so TR-68 is meant to provide some breathing room by approving only a portion of the PR-12 mine plan. As a
side note, Bowie is reorienting the longwall panels from east-west to north-south in PR-12 and, therefore, in TR-68.
The Division received BLM's letter dated March 22, 2010 in which the BLM verified that the Federal lease and surface
access agreements are in place for the mining proposed in PR-12. Can the Division assume that BLM's March 22, 2010
letter also applies to TR-68?
