Pineda <br />Director <br />RECEWD <br />AUG 2 3 2010 <br />Division 43r: G,r?i}t <br />Alining <br />In accordance with your 17-Aug-2010 request via Email, I have reviewed the as-built drawing <br />provided by Mountain Coal Company for the steel piles installed beneath the Coal Preparation <br />Plant (CPP). <br />Construction of the CPP atop the previously constructed Lower Refuse Pile (LRP) was approved <br />by the Division with TR-118. Prior to actual construction of the CPP, the contractor determined <br />that installing an array of steel piles beneath the approved mat foundation would improve the <br />overall stability of the CPP. <br />The Division approved the use of the steel pilings with MR-363 and the attached Stipulation No. <br />80. With MR-367, MCC has submitted as-built drawings of the steel H-beam layout.
