A small pile of low
grade ore existed at the Sunday Mine and has since been removed from the site. In addition, equipment and
scrap metal that was previously stored at the site have been removed. A historical pile of low-grade material
exists at the site and has been stabilized. Denison will continue to monitor this area in accordance with the
Colorado Division of Public Health and Environment (CDPHE) Stormwater Permit requirements to ensure that
no material leaves the area of the site designated for its storage by historical operations.
Denison continues to work with the BLM on the Environmental Assessment process for proposed vent holes
and exploration drilling; however, environmental characterization activities as a part of this process are not
likely to fall under DRMS's definition of mining. Denison will continue to keep DRMS informed of any
activities associated with this process.
Please feel free to contact me directly if you have additional questions or comments.
Yours very truly,
DENISON MINES (USA) CORP.
Christy Woodward, PE
Environmental Coordinator
Cc: Denison Mines (USA) Corp., File
Terry Wetz, Philip Buck, Denison Mines (USA) Corp.
James Blair, US Bureau of Land Management
