CJf ?8l-oa ?
P2.?
Sandra L. Brown
Senior Environmental Protection Specialist OP 010
Division of Reclamation, Mining and Safety , G23 oR'
1313 Serman Street, Room 215 P? *t0
Denver, Co. 80203
Subject: Western Fuels-Colorado, LLC- Permit Revision 6
I Jack Donald Murphy Jr. was hired August of 2002 to transport coal from the
Nucla coal mine which is run by Western Fuel- Colorado, LLC to Tri State Power
Plant south east of Nucla by Oakleef trucking who changed there name later on to E
and M Leasing Trucking Company. I stayed with them till they closed there doors
in February of 2007 when I was hired by Links freight company where I am still
today. I was always fascinated about how one day you could be driving in a pit and
the next few weeks that pit was reclaimed to a hay field to be used for feed. The
company since I have been there 8 years, has done great job reclaiming said fields
back to normal condition. My opinion, I think they have the right and privilege to
continue mining and reclamation work and supplying the most needed coal that Tri
State Power Plant needs to make electricity there customer need so much.
I feel that the Morgan's prime farmlands and other properties are in the best hands
around in this area for to be reclaim and protected.
Thank you
Jack Donald Murphy Jr.
