Dudash
August 13, 2010
Page 3
CWIs deep bedrock groundwater monitoring program consisted of monthly water level
measurements. In the next paragraph it is stated that water quality samples were monitored
for field parameters monthly and lab analysis quarterly. Further down on page 121, BRL
indicates that "Water quality data was obtained during the drilling of these drill holes from
some random sampling. Enough data was gathered to characterize to deep bedrock
groundwater." From this description it is unclear what the approved monitoring program
consisted of and what the baseline data collection included. Please clarify the language on
pages 120 and 121 to clearly state what the monitoring program consisted of for both
baseline collection and the ongoing monitoring plan. Also please provide the Division with
a summary of the available baseline data for the deep bedrock groundwater monitoring
Program.
3. Under the same heading as item 2 above, in the third paragraph of page 122 there is a
typographical error that should be corrected. In the second to last sentence of the third
paragraph "potential in- pacts" should be "potential impacts ". Please make this correction if
deemed appropriate.
Please let me know if you have any questions or need additional information.
C: Sandy Brown
