Gorham, Kent
From: Cowman, Scott [SCowman@peabodyenergy.com]
Sent: Monday, August 16, 2010 8:44 AM
To: Gorham, Kent
Subject: NOI Nos. X-2009-231-00
Kent,
Sorry for the confusion. I had wrongly assumed that all of these NOI's were valid for a 2-year period, or at least two field
seasons. In the future we will,be more careful with this specification/request in the application.
Please extend the expiration date on NOI No. X-2009-231-00 from December 13, 2009 to December 13, 2010. 1 will
request an extension for the 2010 NO[ if 2011 plans include permitted holes from 2010. Thank you for your
understanding in this matter.
I am planning a visit to your office this week to discuss potential future mining projects with Sandy, although I haven't
set up a meeting time yet. I'm trying for Thursday - left Sandy a message this morning.
Best Regards,
B.
