Operation Permit No. M-2005-003. Please respond.
6.4.5 EXHIBIT E - Reclamation Plan
4. The reclamation plan specified that the site will be reclaimed to wildlife habitat and rangeland.
The Division recommends the operator revise the seed mix to provide a greater variety or
diversity of grass species. An example is listed below. Please respond.
Grass Name % of Seed Mix Drill Rate*

Sheep Fescue 20 3.0
Bluebunch Wheatgrass 20 3.0
Crested Wheatgrass 10 1.0
Western Wheatgrass 20 0.5
Russian Wildrye 10 1.0
Indian Ricegrass 20 2.0
Cicer Milkvetch _ 1.0
Total ................... .......100 12.0
* Double seed rate for broadcast seeding.
** If the site is to be irrigated during re-vegetation, you may consider substituting smooth brome,
timothy, and alsike clover for western wheatgrass, Russian wildrye, and cicer milkvetch.
6.4.12 EXHIBIT L - Reclamation Cost
5. The applicant has specified in the Mine Plan that the maximum disturbance to be expected at
any one time will be 100,000 cubic yards or 8.03 acres. Therefore, the reclamation cost will be
based on a disturbance of 8.03 acres, 6500 cubic yards of overburden to be backfilled and graded,
and 6500 cubic yards of topsoil to replace. Attached is a copy of the Division's calculated
reclamation cost of $10,800. Please respond.
6.4.19 EXHIBIT S - Permanent Man-Made Structures
6. Please clarify if there are any permanent man-made structures within two hundred (200) feet
within the area to be excavated. If so, you will need to state whether your proposed mining
operation will adversely affect the stability of any such structure. If yes, you will need to
demonstrate how you will comply with the requirements of Rule 6.4.19.
