The ditch was in good condition <br /> and well maintained. Sediment pond was damp,but there was no standing water. Primary and emergency <br /> spillways are fitted with oil separators(Photo 1). Operator is paying close attention to the culvert inlets. <br /> PROCESSING WASTE/COAL MINE WASTE PILES—Rule 4.10 and 4.11❑ Drainage Control; Surface <br /> Stabilization;Placement: <br /> Refuse pile at King I was observed from the road below. Access was blocked due to on-going demolition <br /> activities(Photo 2). <br /> ROADS—Rule 4.03❑ Construction 4.03.1(3)/4.03.2(3)❑ Drainage 4.03.1(4)/4.03.2(4)❑ Surfacing and <br /> Maintenance4.03.1(5)and(6)/4.03.2(5) and(6)❑ Reclamation 4.03.1(7)/4.03.2(7): <br /> The parking area and heavily travelled areas in the facilities area at King 11 were recently graveled and are <br /> in good shape(Photo 3). Additional gravel was stockpiled along the entrance road. <br /> REVEGETATION--Rule 4.15❑ Vegetative Cover; Timing: <br /> Numerous musk thistle were observed in the western leg of the eastern clear water diversion ditch. Mr. <br /> Jarvis said his worker probably missed that area.
