5.3 Hours of Operation
The typical hours of operation are between 7:00 AM and 5:00 PM Monday thru Saturday.
There may occasionally be time periods when the Site may be open other hours and on
Sunday.
5.4 Operations Personnel
The Site will be manned with at least one AFS employee on site at all times. Deliveries
are made and then inspected by AFS personnel. Typically there will be at least two
operations personnel on the site during the blending and placement of inert soil and fly
ash, and one supervisor making regular visits to observe operations.
5.5 Site Access and Haul Route
Access to the Site is from the entrance road on Brighton Rd south of the main fill area
and shown on the map in Appendix I. The entire property will be fenced, primarily with
an 8 foot chain link fence. Some areas of the Site have natural barriers that prohibit
access to the facility, those areas along the pond to the west and along the private
property to the south. These areas will have a barbed wire fence with appropriate signs to
prohibit access. The access road has a gate prohibiting unauthorized entry to the fill area
when the facility unattended or is closed.
Traffic to the Site will primarily be from 136th Avenues then south on Brighton Rd. The
haul route from 136th Avenue is approximately 0.5 miles south to the entrance. The 136th
Avenue will handle the traffic from Highway 85 located approximately one half mile to
the east. The anticipated number of deliveries range between zero and 200 trips per day.
5.6 Equipment
The following equipment is available and will either be kept on the Site or located at an
alternative location near the site.
• Cat 980 Loader
• Cat D6 Dozer
• Motor-grader 140H
• Water Truck (2000 gallon)
• Pickup truck
Equipment will be utilized for the proper placement and grading of the inert materials
being received. The equipment will also used to maintain the grounds and move other
soil as necessary at the Site.
AFS Frei-Henderson Inert Fill Page 13 of 23
MOLEN 8s ASSOCIATES, LLC
