topography has changed again recently as the re-contouring of the pit and liner <br />construction is being completed. <br />The final topography is planned to place the property into a condition similar to the <br />elevations of the surrounding properties. <br />3.6 Surface Water Drainage <br />A Site Drainage/Grading/SWMP has been prepared for the Site, and has been submitted <br />separately to the Adams County Department of Public Works for review as part of the <br />CD application. The Site is a mined gravel pit and is below the surrounding grades by as <br />25-30 feet. A drainage detention pond will be constructed when the grades reach levels <br />to drain to the detention pond. Water will flow from the drainage detention pond at <br />historic rates to the lake area to the west also owned by a Frei Family entity (Henderson <br />Aggregates, Ltd.). <br />3.7 Climatology <br />Climate information for the Denver Metropolitan area is most representative of the area <br />the site is located. The climate is characterized by low relative humidity, light to <br />moderate winds, mild temperatures and light precipitation. The average annual mean <br />temperature is 50 degrees, the monthly mean temperatures range from 30 degrees in <br />January to 73 degrees Fahrenheit in July. The average annual precipitation is 15 inches. <br />The wettest month is May and the driest month is January. Average annual wind speed <br />of 8-9 miles per hour and monthly averages range from a high in April of 9-10 mph to 7- <br />8 mph in October. <br />3.8 Geology and Hydrogeology <br />The Site is a mined gravel pit.
