Varra, (303) 666-6657 <br />Section 9, Twp 5 North, Rng 65 West, 6th P.M., Weld County <br />CONDITIONS FOR APPROVAL <br />® The proposed operation will consume ground water by: ® evaporation, ® dust control, ? <br />reclamation, ® water removed in the mined product, ? processing, ? other: <br />Prior to initiation of these uses of ground water, the applicant will need to obtain either a gravel pit <br />or other type of well permit, as applicable. However, prior to obtaining a permit, an approved <br />water supply plan or decreed plan for augmentation is required. <br />® Prior to approving a well permit, the applicant must conduct a field inspection of the site and <br />document the locations of all wells within 600 feet of the permit area. The applicant must then <br />obtain a waiver of objection.from all well owners with wells within 600 feet of the permit area or <br />request a hearing before the State Engineer. <br />COMMENTS: The operation will mine sand and gravel for urban and rural infrastructure and <br />development. The project will consume 115.50 acre-feet of water per year through dust control (2.81 af), <br />water removed in the mined product (23.56 af), and evaporation from a maximum of 62.81 acres of <br />exposed surface area (89.13 af). Depletions are proposed to be replaced by shares in the Rural Ditch <br />Company and water decreed in Division 1 Water Court case no. 01CW274. The applicant has indicated <br />plans to obtain a well permit from this office for the proposed gravel pits.
