of the Construction Materials Regular (112) Operation Reclamation Permit Application Submitted by Thomas H. Smith
To Whom it May Concern:
The Colorado Division of Reclamation, Mining and Safety (DRMS) has completed technical review of the above
referenced application for a Construction Materials Regular (112) Operation Reclamation Permit application. DRMS
believes that the applicant has complied with the minimum requirements of the Colorado Land Reclamation Act for the
Extraction of Construction Materials and the Mineral Rules and Regulations of the Colorado Mined Land Reclamation
Board for the Extraction of Construction Materials, and so therefore are preparing to recommend that the Board
approve this 112c permit application over the objections received at the August 11-12, 2010 Board meeting. DRMS's
rational for recommendation for approval is enclosed.
A Pre-hearing Conference has been scheduled to occur on July 30, 2010, beginning at 12:00 p.m. The conference will be
held at the Pagosa Springs Ross Aragon Community Center, 451 Hot Springs Boulevard, Pagosa Springs, Colorado, 81147, in
the Arts and Crafts room. Ms. Sandra Brown will preside as Pre-hearing Conference Officer.
The application will be considered by the Mined Land Reclamation Board during a Formal Public Hearing scheduled for
August 11-12, 2010. The August 11-12, 2010 Board meeting will be held at the Centennial Building, 1313 Sherman Street,
Room 318, Denver, Colorado, 80203, and commence at 9:00 a.m. on August 11, 2010 or as soon thereafter as the matter
can be considered.
