The NOIs are hereby <br />approved as submitted, subject to the following stipulations: <br />1) No new roads shall be constructed; each drill site shall be accessed by existing roads. <br />These roads shall be improved only to the extent necessary to allow proper access of the <br />required equipment. <br />2) If subsurface cultural or paleontological resources are unearthed during operations, <br />activity in the vicinity of the cultural/paleontological resource shall cease and DOE and <br />the U.S. Bureau of Land Management (BLM) shall be notified immediately. Pursuant to <br />43 CFR 10.4, GEU must notify the authorized officer, by telephone, with written <br />confirmation, immediately upon the discovery of human remains, funerary items, sacred <br />objects, or objects of cultural patrimony.
