(EEC) personnel have completed the preliminary
evaluation you requested for tl11e proposed Colorado Beef Fresh Water Reservoir to be
constructed northwest of Lamar in Prowers County, Colorado. The reservoir is being
constnxted. in are area of prior aggregate mining activities near the center of Section 19,
Township 22 South, mange 47 west of the 6 PM in Prowers County. The reservoir is
anticipated to be on the order of 28 feet deep with capacity of either 350 or 500 acre feet.
Much of the reservoir volume will be excavated below pruning site grades although
embankments will be required on the south and west sides with maximum embankment
heights on the order of 10 feet required near the southwest corner of the empondment. This
exploration was completed in general accordance with our Phase I services outlined in our
March 13, 2009 proposal for providing the geotechnical engineering services.
To develop information on existing subsurface conditions in the area of the proposed
reservoir, EEC personnel advanced borings at eight (8) premed boring locations in the
immediate area of the proposed reservoir. The approximate boring locations were marked in
the field prior to our exploration by Enviro -Ag Engineering personnel although the field
borings were completed at off-sets from the prematiced locations at the direction of Enviro-
Ag Engineering personnel. The borings extended to depths ranging from approximately 20
feet near the base of the existing gravel mhi tg excavation to depths up to approximately 50
feet at surmutiding boring locations.
4396 GREENFIEty DRIVE
WINDSOR.
