SECTION 413216 <br />CONSTRUCTION SCHEDULE <br />PART I — GENERAL <br />1.1 CONSTRUCTION SCHEDULE <br />A. The Contractor shall prepare a construction schedule showing specific tasks, dates and <br />critical path necessary for completion of the project within the contract time limits. The <br />preliminary schedule will be submitted at the pre- construction meeting and approved or <br />returned for correction within five (5) working days of the pre - construction meeting by <br />the Owner /Engineer. Within five (5) working days, the Contractor shall revise the <br />preliminary schedule in accordance with the Owner's /Engineer's corrections and submit <br />the revised schedule for acceptance. Upon the Owner's /Engineer's acceptance, the <br />schedule shall become the Project Construction Schedule. The Project Construction <br />Schedule will be reviewed and updated at each progress meeting. All changes to the <br />progress schedule 'of more. than 3 working days shall be documented on the updated <br />progress schedule and shall be submitted in writing to the Owner /Engineer. <br />B. The Schedule format shall be a critical path method Gantt chart style or equivalent. The <br />Schedule shall identify the work clearly, showing the detailed items of work. The <br />breakdown of work shall, at a minimum, show all of the items identified in the Schedule <br />of Values. Submittals and long lead items shall be included and the relationship between <br />submittal and the work item shall be identified. The relationship between the work items <br />shall clearly show the starting dates, and include all details of the work within the time <br />frame shown. <br />C. The Schedule shall include sufficient time for cleaning, punch list review and completion <br />of punch list items prior to the designated physical completion date. <br />D. The Schedule shall be used to justify time extension days requested by the Contractor. <br />For additional days requested, the Schedule shall be detailed enough to identify the work <br />item(s) affected and the relationship to the changed or added work. <br />E. Should any activity not be completed by the stated scheduled date, the Engineer will have <br />the right to require the Contractor to expedite completion of the activity by whatever <br />means appropriate and necessary, without additional compensation to the Contractor. <br />END OF SECTION <br />013216-1 <br />
