1.5 PROJECT/SITE CONDITIONS <br />A. Unanticipated Conditions <br />1. Notify the Owner or Engineer of unexpected subsurface conditions and discontinue <br />work in affected area until notified by Owner /Engineer to resume work <br />2. Take emergency measures as required to protect persons and improvements <br />B. Existing Conditions <br />I. The Contractor takes full responsibility for making him/herself of the conditions of <br />the site prior to construction <br />2. The contractor shall provide a warranty of construction as necessary per CDOT and /or <br />Owner requirements <br />PART 2 — PRODUCTS <br />2.1 MATERIALS <br />A. Casing pipe, spacers, carrier pipe and casing end seals see Section 331100 for details <br />B. Directional Boring System <br />I. Contractor shall provide a pneumatically or hydraulically operated fluid assisted <br />remote guided boring system capable of installing the pipe by trenchless methods per <br />Drawings without damage <br />2. Equipment shall be designed to provide accurate control of both line and the grade of <br />_,... the boring head <br />a. Provide pumps, compressors, tools and all equipment certified as suitable by the <br />system manufacturer to install the new pipe without stressing or damaging the <br />pipe <br />b. Provide a circulatory and recovery system that will recover the bentonite or other <br />drilling fluids <br />c. Provide supply of water for mixing drilling fluid <br />PART 3 - EXECUTION <br />3.1 PREPARATION <br />A. Protection <br />1. Provide necessary safety measures for construction activities <br />2. Implement the required traffic control and notification to CDOT by installing the <br />necessary barricades, warning signs, lights etc. <br />3.
