The operator had just
completed maintenance on all of the various collection and diversion ditches. The silt fences /sediment traps at the
entrance to the road accessing the construction material and topsoil pile locations and at the east side of the bridge
at Fast Salt Creep crossing were well maintained. The sediment traps were cleared out and the material hauled to
the temporary waste pile. All site sediment control features appeared to be in good working order and no
problems were noted during this inspection.
The s dim nt pond was containing muddy water at approximately 2. 5 feet below the manually operated principal
spillway. The pond was not being discharged at the time of the inspection. The pond inlet, embankment, and
discharge structures were all stable and functioning properly. The inlet to the pond was also recently cleaned out
and sediment removed. The site looped very good.
PROCESSING WASTE /COAL MINE WASTE P11LES — Rule 4. 10 and 4.11 ❑ [I Drainage Control; Surface
Stabilization; Placement:
The temporary coal waste pile area is well maintained. waste is contained within the bean area.
