None were remotely close to discharging through the lowest weep hole
and no evidence of any recent discharge was observed. The operator should complete the resetting and marking of
all sediment markers as soon as the marker can be safely accessed by personnel.
Some rills and gullies were noted, although none appeared to be enlarging due to runoff this season. Some minor
maintenance activities in accordance with the rill and gully plan should be implemented as necessary.
Ditch work as noted in previous inspections remains to be completed. The ditch on the north side of the center
core area that diverts runoff to the top of the east downdrain of Fill 8 needs sediment deposition cleaned out of the
ditch. The operator has indicated a third party contractor will be employed to complete this work. Please ensure
this work is completed this field season when ground conditions allow.
REVEGETATION - Rule 4.15
Vegetative Cover; Timing:
A pedestrian survey of the larger reclaimed area was conducted. The youngest reclaimed area is now in
the fourth growing season since reseeding. Most areas are now showing significant grass and forb establishment,
which appears to be reducing storm runoff and sediment delivery to ponds. Shown below is area E-1, hydro-
seeded in 2006.
Number of Partial Inspection this Fiscal Year: 1
Number of Complete Inspections this Fiscal Year: 0
Page 2 of 4
