PERMIT #: M-2007-035
INSPECTOR'S INITIALS: PSH
INSPECTION DATE: July 19, 2010
OBSERVATIONS
The Bond Pit, File No. M-2007-035, was inspected by Peter Hays with the Division of Reclamation, Mining and
Safety (Division). The site was previously inspected by the Division on April 15, 2009. A representative from
Glenn E. Sessions & Sons, Inc. was not at the site during the inspection.
The previous inspection resulted in the Mined Land Reclamation Board finding the Operator violated C.R.S. 34-
32.5-109(1) for failing to obtain a reclamation permit prior to engaging in a new mining operation. The Bond
Pit permit was issued on July 8, 2009 after the Operator completed the corrective actions required by the
Board Order.
The Division conducted a partial inspection of the site to evaluate the mining activity since the permit was
issued.
The pit appeared mostly unchanged since the last inspection. Stockpiled material has been removed and
limited mining has occurred at the site. The pit floor was dry, no processing equipment was observed and no
erosion or noxious weeds were noted. The proposed post mining land use is rangeland. No reclamation
activities were observed during the inspection.
An entrance sign was posted and permit boundary markers were observed as required by Rule 3.1.12. No
problems were noted during the inspection.
Inspection Contact Address
Gordon Brocker
Glenn E.
