Marmots are active in the Moffat Pit area. <br />Several cow elk & one calf were observed along the West Ridge road grazing on the reclaimed vegetation. <br />OTHER (SPECIFY): <br />A work crew was noted on site in the Center Ridge area. This crew was working near the wooden power <br />line. On site were 1 pickup, one ATV, and a cherry picker with "Probst Electric" on the hydraulic arm. <br />ROADS - Rule 4.03 Construction, 4.03.1(3)/4.03.2(3) Drainage 4.03.1(4)/4.03.2(4) Surfacing and Maintenance <br />4.03.1(5) and (6)/4.03.2(5) and (6) Reclamation 4.03.1(7)/4.03.2(7): <br />The access roads remain in decent condition. The mine site is dry with no evidence of recent rains. <br />RECLAMATION SUCCESS - Rule 4.15, Rule 3: <br />A shepherd & sheep wagon located just North of the Moffat pit area. <br />Previously identified weed patches were revisited with aid of the same Trimble XT that the inspector used to <br />record coordinates during the June 23, 2010 inspection. The inspector was able to navigate to the weed patches. <br />No weed control appeared to have been implemented since the June inspection.. Plants appear healthy. Yellow <br />sweetclover was in bloom. Cicer milkvetch was blooming. Alfalfa was in full bloom too. No Livestock was <br />observed in the Moffat Pit area. Perennial pepperweed located near the Moffat pond was blooming as well. Based <br />on a telephone conversation with Steve Leach of Chevron Mining, inc., on 7/12/2010, Chevron has contracted <br />Habitat Management to conduct additional weed spraying this week.
