Watterson <br />Twentymile Coal Company <br />29515 Routt County Road #27 <br />Oak Creek, CO 80467 <br />RE: Twentymile Coal Company, Permit C-82-056 <br />Second Quarter Sediment Pond Inspection Report 2010 <br />Dear Mr. Watterson, <br />COLORADO <br />DIVISION OF <br />RECLAMATION <br />MINING <br />SAFETY <br />The Colorado Division of Reclamation, Mining, and Safety (CDRMS) has reviewed and found the <br />above referenced report to be in compliance with the following CDRMS regulation: <br />4.05.9(17) - Examined at least quarterly by a qualified person designated by the operator, for <br />appearance of structural weakness and other hazardous conditions. <br />4.05.9(17) - A copy of the report shall be submitted to the Division on a quarterly basis. <br />The first quarter sediment pond inspection reports were received by the Division on 14 July 2010. <br />Sediment pond inspections were conducted by TCC on March 28th, 29th, and 30th. <br />It is noted that maintenance items required include; replacing boom and digging out below flume at <br />Pond B, weed spraying at Pond C, a new boom before the weir at Pond E, clearing cattails at Pond T, <br />addition of new flow meter and the addition of upstream vault at Wastewater treatment pond #1, <br />addition of flume at 6MN Pond, and filling burrows and replacing the weir at the Fish Creek Tipple <br />Pond. <br />The waste water treatment pond #1, #2, #3, final polishing pond, area #1 pit, pond D, and the Fish <br />Creek Tipple Pond were discharging at the time of the inspections. <br />If you have any questions feel free to contact me.
