6. Based on our current calculation the layback will take place more westerly than what is currently the <br />beginning point. Still within the permit boundary on the north and middle peaks. This will decrease <br />the already approved verticalness of the 2000 layback and should assist in the stabilization of the <br />rockmass. There is the possibility that the south end will have to have its own layback but that would <br />be addressed in the full amendment and there would not be enough work performed on the south end <br />to impact this substantially. Some discussions with the US Forest Service and DRMS have already <br />taken place with regard to this possibility. <br />It should be understood that safety drives all work as it will be performed. The DRMS will be kept abreast of <br />what is going on and will be overseeing the quantity of material removed from the quarry during this process. <br />Respectfully Submitted, <br />M. L.
