46. In Exhibit 7-140 on pages 1-19 Colowyo discusses the Section 16 Pond Ditch and its
associated extension (approved with Technical Revision 71). In this section Colowyo
discusses that this ditch extension will be mined through as a result of the advancing
South Taylor Pit. With the changes to the mine plan proposed with Technical Revision
81 (on Map 23A), Colowyo will no longer be mining through the Section 16 Pond Ditch
extension. Please change the text in Exhibit 7-140 on pages 1-19 to correctly state
that the Section 16 Pond Ditch extension will not be mined through, based on the
proposed mine plan. Please discuss how long the ditch extension will remain.
Please provide a detailed discussion of how and when the Section 16 Pond Ditch
extension will be reclaimed.
47. With the submittal of the responses for Technical Revision 81, Colowyo is proposing to
decrease the limits of mining in the South Taylor Pit. The decrease includes
approximately 358 acres in the east/southeast portion of the pit and approximately 92
acres in the west portion of the pit. Colowyo has not submitted a revised revision
application noting these changes. Please submit a revised technical revision
application which correctly notes the changes to the affected and disturbed acres as
a result of the changes proposed in Technical Revision 81.
This concludes the second adequacy review for Colowyo's Technical Revision 81.
