Six borings were drilled at <br />selected locations along the existing embankment alignment (Figure 1)_ Samples of the <br />soils and bedrock penetrated by the borings and cuttings were classified (Figure 2 and <br />Table 1). In summary, there appear to be no stability problems with the section of levee <br />you asked us to analyze (43+40)_ <br />Variations in the subsoil conditions not indicated by our borings are possible. We <br />believe this exploration was conducted with that level of skill and care ordinarily used by <br />geotechnical engineers practicing in this area at this time- No warranty, express or <br />implied, is made.
