EXHIBIT B <br />SITE DESCRIPTION <br />COUNTY: LINCOLN <br />OPERATOR: Castle Rock Construction Co. of Colorado LLC <br />1. Soils on the grass land are ridge top typical Of Lincoln County and are classified as <br />Arvada or similar soils. The ecological site classification for the area is Alkaline <br />Plains. <br />2. Topsoil is 6 to 8 inches, silty-sandy M-L, CL type by the Unified Soil Classification. <br />The soil beneath the overburden is silty sand, A-2-4 which will be used as dirt <br />borrow. <br />The borrow material will be removed from a 7-8' east facing bank. <br />Clumps of natural grasses including blue grama, buffalo grass and western <br />wheatgrass exsist along with weedy vegetation, The proposed pit area is sparsely <br />vegetated . <br />3. There are no streams, springs, lakes, or stock water ponds that will receive <br />drainage directly form this mining operation. There are no gulches that will be <br />affected by this but finaly drains to the Big Sandy Creek to the south. <br />4. There is an existing CDOT right of way fence on southerly pit limits,. Is covered in <br />our contract with CDOT. <br />5. There is an existing Level 3 fiber optic line that runs southeast to northwest on the <br />southerly side of the CDOT right of way fence. Is covered in our temp access permit <br />from CDOT and our contract for the project. <br />6. Existing residential water line on north side of pit belonging to Tony Vick addressed <br />in the lease agreement. <br />7. Existing over head power line running southwest to northwest on the southeast side <br />of the CDOT right of way fence. Is covered in our temp access permit and contract <br />from CDOT for the project.
