MINE ID # / PROSPECTING ID #: M-2007-026 <br />INSPECTOR'S INITIALS: DMC <br />INSPECTION DATE: June 8, 2010 <br />OBSERVATIONS <br />This inspection was conducted as part of the Division of Reclamation, Mining and Safety (DRMS) normal monitoring program. The <br />inspection commenced at approximately 12:00 p.m. on June 8, 2010. Jennifer Sekulski and Ryan Pawlowski, Rio Tinto Environmental <br />Engineers, were present during the inspection. <br />The Neilson Pit is located approximately 20 miles south of Craig and accessed from Highway 13, utilizing the main Colowyo access <br />road. <br />The mine identification sign and affected area boundary markers are in place and in compliance with Rule 3.1.12 (Figure 1). <br />A minor infestation of Hoary Cress was observed near the south flank of the permit area (Figure 3). At this time noxious weeds are not <br />noted as a problem at this site due to the fact that weed management for this site is incorporated into the weed management plan for the <br />Colowyo mine. However, upon subsequent inspections should noxious weeds continue to be a problem at the site the Operator shall <br />implement a weed management program through a Technical Revision to DRMS permit M-2007-026 specific to the Neilson Pit. <br />No significant erosional features were noted on the affected areas during the inspection. <br />No other problems or violations were noted during the inspection. <br />Page 12
