Notes:
'Actual depletions through November 2009, projected depletions are shaded (December 2009 through Apni 1u11).
[11 Actual production provided by Transit Mix, projections based upon Transit Mix's projected maximum annual production.
[2] Based upon 4 percent water loss by weight.
[3] Actual dust control provided by Transit Mix. Projections based upon the annual total of previous monthly maximums spread out uniformly
over the year.
[4] Based upon NOAA Evaporation Atlas (45.4 inches per year), distributed monthly based upon State's SB-120 guidelines.
[5] Based upon average monthly precipitation data from the NOAA Climate Data (Canon City, 1950 - 2003).
[6] Effective Precipitation equals 70 percent of total precipitation, based upon the States' SB-120 guidelines, [5]' 0.7
[7]- Net Evaporation equals Gross Evaporation less Effective Precipitation, [4] - [6].
[8] Exposed water surface in settling pond is 5 acres or less prior to Dec 2009, and 19 acres or less after Dec 2009.
[9] Equals [7] x [8].
[10] Total Depletion equals [2] + [3] + [9].
The mining area is in hydraulic connection and within 100 feet of the Blue Heron pit, which in turn is within 100 feet of the river. De-watering from the pit
is assumed to be an instantaneous depletion to the river. Water pumped to the settling basin will be immediately returned to Brush Hollow Creek and
allowed to flow naturally back to the River. Based upon this, evaporation losses from the settling basin are assumed to be an instantaneous depletion to the
stream system.
