By the end of 4th quarter 2009, MCC had mined up to cross-cut 18 in panel E1. The
area potentially affected by mining was inaccessible because of snow cover and consequently,
the ground surface was likely not visible. Mining was not within a mile of Monument Dam or
within the angle of draw of any Forest Service road. A stock pond at cross-cut 17 was within
twice the angle of draw towards the end of the quarter. The stock pond was surveyed in July
2009 and was included in the 2009 Fall Subsidence Report. Routine inspection reports for
Monument Dam and Forest Service roads are included with this letter. For the period of time
before snow, there were no visible signs of subsidence induced features.
Sincerely,
Ryan V.
