Wally Erickson
June 28, 2010
Page 16
Data to be Replaced New Data
Attachment C-4, Leachate Analytical Table 3 (Synthetic Precipitation Leachate
Results Precipitation), Mine Rock Analysis. Id.,
at Appendix 1 B.
Table C-2, Whole Rock Analysis Table 1 (Whole Rock Analysis) Mine
Rock Analysis. Id.
Table C-3, USGS Field Leach Test No field leach test undertaken. See SPLP
analysis. Id., Table 3, Appendix 113.
Table C-4, SPLP Metal Analysis Table 3 (Synthetic Precipitation Leachate
Precipitation), Mine Rock Analysis. Id.
Table C-7, Water Analysis - Mine Adits The Lower Idaho Adit Seep has been re-
interpreted as the Idaho Seep. See Tables
2 (Dissolved Metal Concentrations),
3(Total Metal Concentrations) and 4
(Surface Water Chemistry), Surface
Water Analysis. Id., Appendix 1A.
28-3. Total Quant is regarded as a semi-quantitative method with accuracy of 150%.
Therefore, DBMS will add 50% to each analytical result in evaluations of potential
impacts. The operator has the option of providing more quantitative analyses.
Response to Adequacy Issue No. 28-3: The results from a composite mine rock
sample collected from a stockpile located on the bench near the May Day Portal No. 1 was
summarized in a letter dated June 24, 2010. Id., at Appendix 1B. Whole rock analyses was
undertaken by X-ray fluorescence and reported in Table 1 of Appendix 1 B.
28-4. Section 63.3(1)(i). The descriptions ofsamples for the FLT and whole rock
analyses are inadequate. DRMS needs to know precisely what rock was sampled
and where, supplemented with photographs of the sampled material and location(s)
on the ground from where they were sampled.
Response to Adequacy Issue No. 28-4: A composite mine rock sample collected
from a stockpile located on the bench near the May Day Portal No. 1 as reported to Wildcat
Mining in a letter dated June 24, 2010. Id. This report includes sample location and
photographs. Whole rock analyses was undertaken by X-ray fluorescence and reported in
Table 1 of Appendix 1B.
