<br />The Division of Reclamation, Mining and Safety hereby issues notice, in accordance with Title 34, Article 33, Section 116,
<br />Paragraph 4, of the Colorado Revised Statutes, that on June 24, 2010, an application to revise coal mining operations at the
<br />Yoast Mine was considered complete for the purposes of filing. The revision was submitted by Seneca Coal Company, LLC.
<br />All review and comment periods as provided in the Act and the Regulations initiate from this date of filing.
<br />This technical revision application proposes changes and clarifications to the woody plant density standard for the Yoast mine,
<br />including proposed standards for aspen reestablishment in specified locations.
<br />The surface coal mining operation is on land located approximately 7 miles Southwest of Hayden, Colorado. The permit area is
<br />further described as follows:
<br />T6N, R87W, Portions of Sections 28, 29 and 32
<br />T5N, R87W, All of Section 17; Portions of Sections 5, 8, 16, 18, 19, 20, 29, 30
<br />Mt. Harris & Dunckley
<br />The above-mentioned tracts of land are shown on USGS 7.5 minute Quadrangle map of Mount Harris, Dunckley & Mt. Harris.
<br />A copy of the renewal application is available for public inspection at the Hayden Public Library, 201 E. Jefferson Avenue,
<br />Hayden, CO 81639-1813, and at the Division offices in Denver and Grand Junction. To provide written comments, contact the
