rI <br />L <br />RULE 2.053 <br />OPERATION PLAN — PERMIT AREA <br />INTRODUCTION <br />The disturbed area within the new Seneca II permit area has been backfilled, graded, and <br />seeded. There are no current mining or disturbance activities ongoing. <br />The new permit area has features/facilities that have previously been approved for <br />permanent retention. These features include: <br />• Permanent Roads <br />• Sediment Pond 008 <br />• Postmine channels <br />• Fenced shrub plot <br />• Miscellaneous livestock/boundary fences <br />The features/facilities listed above are shown on Map 205-M-1, Postmining Topography <br />and Permanent Features. <br />Permanent Roads. There are two (2) roads within the new permit area that are approved <br />for permanent retention — Access Road C and Light -Use South Road. Both roads are <br />continuations of roads that start in the Sage Creek Coal Company permit area and will be <br />used by the SCC, the landowner, and the grazing lessee in the short- and long -term. These <br />roads were approved as permanent features as part of the approval of Technical Revision <br />37, September 2006. The documentation is contained in the original PAP in Tab 13, <br />Appendix 13 -12. <br />Sediment Pond 008. Pond 008 was approved as a permanent feature as part of the <br />approval of Technical Revision 37, September 2006. This pond meets the criteria of Rule <br />4.05.9(13) and is deemed suitable for the approved post - mining land use. The <br />documentation is contained in the original PAP in Tab 7, Appendix 7 -6f.4. <br />Postmine Channels. There are a series of postmining channels on the reclaimed area that <br />include: <br />• SIIPM -8 <br />• V- Ditches 1 thru 5, and <br />• SIIPM -13A <br />These channels will become permanent features in the future. See Map 2.05 Ml, <br />Postmining Topography and Permanent Features, for locations and configuration. <br />Fenced Shrub Plot. There is a fenced shrub plot monitored by CSU and DRMS.
