It is the DMG's understanding from the drawings and based on our
telephone discussions that the existing pipes will be disconnected at a flange associated with an
existing clean-out station, and the elbows to be installed at this location will be mechanically
connected using flanges. The DMG further understands that the project will require only one fused
seam on each of the dual pipes, and that the fused seem will be located just up-gradient from the
discharge point. The following conditions apply to the DMG's approval of the discharge point
relocation project:
1. Upon completion of the construction, a written certification for the new sections of pipeline will be
provided to DMG in accordance with Rule 7.3.2 of the Hard Rock/Metal Mining Rules and
Regulations of the Mined Land Reclamation Board. The pipes will not be placed back into service
until the certification has been accepted by DMG in accordance with Rule 7.3.2(1).
2. The annual leak-down test on the pipelines required under the terms of technical revision TR-009
will be conducted as soon as feasible following the completion of the discharge point relocation
project.
All other terms and conditions of technical revision TR-009 and of Permit No. M-1977-342 remain in
full force and effect.
