Hydrologic Balance
Well site 218A (show below) located near the bond release main facility site remains un-
reclaimed at this time. Based on the presence of dead vegetation around the well casings, it
appears likely that methane is seeping from the subsurface, possibly along the outside of the
casing. Prior to final bond release and termination of jurisdiction for lands under this permit,
all wells and boreholes are required to be abandoned and reclaimed along with filing of
abandonment reports.
Revegetation
The reclaimed ventilation facility pad area,
shown at right, appeared in excellent
condition, with grasses and forbs present in
good numbers. The operator may want to
consider applying for a Phase II bond
release for this reclaimed area. Nothing
unusual or unexpected was observed. il
4
